Pierre Langlais
CAREER
Pierre holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from CEIPI in Strasbourg in France and an LLM in the same field from Queen Mary College in London. He started his career more than eighteen years ago in a law firm in Paris.
He has a strong interest in technology and IT, and assists industrial clients in litigation (e.g. patent/trade mark infringement, IT/Internet litigation, etc.) and in drafting various contracts: collaboration contracts, IT contracts, research and development contracts, licences and assignments, and also participates in audits in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
In 2007, he decided to pursue his career in Nantes.
After several years of developing the secondary office of a Parisian firm locally, he decided to create his own firm specialising exclusively in intellectual property, IT and the internet. On July 1st, 2021, he became partner of Cécile GUYOT.
OUTSIDE THE FIRM
He enjoys spending time with family and friends, sailing, cycling and comic books.
TRAINING AND PUBLICATIONS
Pierre provides training in the firm’s areas of expertise, in particular in the Master 2 in Intellectual Property of Nantes and in the training school for lawyers.
He publishes an annual overview of case law in the French Industrial Property journal (Lexisnexis) in the areas of :
- additional remuneration and fair price of employees’ inventions,
- infringement seizure,
- computer contracts.
Monthly, he is also author in the French review the essentials of intellectual property (LEPI) published by Lextenso.
